David Axelrod, hoofd communicatie van de Obama-campagne, gaf gisteren een persconferentie. Op deze persconferentie haalde hij hard uit naar Mitt Romney en zijn zwakke reactie op Limbaugh–controverse. Verder dan “it’s not the language I would have used” kwam de voormalig gouverneur van Massachusetts niet. De laatste week hebben de Republikeinse kandidaten allemaal Barack Obama bekritiseerd omdat hij niet hard genoeg zou reageren op het Iraanse atoomprogramma. Axelrod vroeg zich hardop af hoe Romney kan beweren dat hij Ahmedinejad, president van Iran, hard aan zou pakken als hij niet eens mensen uit zijn eigen partij terecht durft te wijzen als ze onacceptabele dingen roepen. <<

Presidential campaigns are tests. You are tested every single days in different ways. The Limbaugh thing was a test of leadership, and you have them all the time, and Mitt Romney has failed those tests in the campaign.
